Hair fall treatment starts with the right question.
Is it breakage, shedding, or hair loss? A guide to making a more informed haircare choice.

General education, not a diagnosis or personalised treatment plan.
The short answer
There is no single hair-fall treatment for everyone. First understand what is happening: strands can break, hairs can shed, and hair growth can be affected by different conditions. A dermatologist can help identify the cause. A shampoo-and-mask routine serves a different purpose: cleansing and conditioning your hair.
What is the difference between hair breakage and shedding?
Breakage means the hair strand has snapped. Damaged hair is more fragile and can look frizzy. Shedding means hairs are released as part of the hair cycle; excessive shedding and hair loss are not the same thing. They can also occur together.
Appearance alone cannot reliably diagnose the cause. If you are concerned about thinning or the amount of hair falling out, consult a dermatologist rather than relying on a product label.

How should I choose haircare in Singapore or Malaysia?
Start with the concern you want to address, then compare what each product actually promises. “Smoother-feeling hair”, “less breakage” and “hair regrowth” describe different outcomes. An ingredient story is not the same as evidence that a finished product delivers a particular result.
- Read the full formula and directions. Ask the seller for the ingredient list if it is not available.
- Ask what was tested. Look for the finished product, the outcome measured, the study duration and who took part.
- Compare the complete purchase. Check bottle sizes, currency, shipping charges and return conditions.
- Check delivery to your address. For Malaysia, ask about your specific postcode, including Sabah or Sarawak where relevant. Do not assume a Singapore delivery estimate applies.

What can I change in my everyday haircare routine?
Handle your hair gently. Massage shampoo into the scalp rather than rubbing the lengths. Condition after washing, avoid tugging through tangles, and reduce excessive heat and tight hairstyles. These habits address avoidable damage; they do not diagnose or treat every cause of hair loss.

Common questions about hair fall
Can shampoo alone solve hair fall?
A shampoo should not be assumed to solve every cause of hair fall. Choose products according to their supported purpose, and seek assessment if shedding or thinning concerns you.
Does a hair mask treat hair loss?
A conditioning mask and a hair-loss treatment serve different roles. Conditioning is part of haircare; a treatment claim needs evidence for that particular product and outcome.
Is Number Sixth a proven hair-fall treatment?
This page does not establish that the Number Sixth duo treats hair loss or regrows hair. The duo is presented here as a cleansing and conditioning routine. Ask us about product information before buying for a specific concern.
How long should a hair-fall treatment take?
There is no universal timeline. It depends on the cause and the treatment. Do not interpret an immediate change in softness or appearance as proof of new hair growth.
Should I choose a different formula just because I live in Singapore or Malaysia?
Location alone is not enough to choose a product. Compare its intended use, directions and supporting evidence with your own needs. Confirm the seller's delivery terms for your country separately.
